Program Overview

Where curious kids become solar engineers.

In this high-energy, hands-on experience, students build a working solar generator and learn how sunlight can be converted into usable electrical energy. Once their generator is complete, they put it to the test by powering a Nintendo Switch using solar energy.

After exploring the science behind renewable energy, circuits, and power storage, students enjoy guided gameplay featuring popular, age-appropriate titles such as Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart — all powered by the sun. This unique program combines engineering, problem-solving, and teamwork with exciting gameplay to reinforce real-world applications of clean energy.

Four mornings, four builds, zero meltdowns. The instructors are calm, patient, and clearly love what they do. We've already signed up for next summer.

He's still racing his solar car around the kitchen floor a month later. Worth every dollar and then some — and the take-home project hooked him on engineering.
