Program Overview

Where curious kids become racer designers.

Get ready to race with the power of the sun! In this exciting camp, kids design and build their very own solar-powered racer cars while learning how sunlight gets turned into clean, renewable energy.

Once their creations are ready, it's time for the big Solar Race — where everyone's cars line up at the start for a fun, friendly showdown. Engineering, design, troubleshooting, and a serious need for speed.

What's Inside Camp

Five things your camper will design, build, race, and win.

Design Your Racer

Every camper customizes their own solar-powered racer. No two cars look the same on race day.

Solar in Motion

Watch sunlight power your car in real time. Outdoor testing shows the physics live, not in a textbook.

STEM Made Fun

Explore solar energy, circuits, motion, and basic engineering — all through hands-on building, not lectures.

The Solar Race

Race day! Friendly head-to-head challenges where every car gets a chance to zoom to the finish.

Teamwork & Tuning

Troubleshoot, tune, and improve performance with your crew — racing makes everyone a better engineer.

Take It Home

Leave with a mini solar dragster — and the bragging rights of having raced it on a real track.

From Past Camps

Inside the workshop.

Real campers, real builds. The energy in these rooms is contagious — even the parents stay to watch.

Parent Reviews

From the families who came back.

My daughter came home talking about photovoltaic cells. She's seven. Go Solar! Kidz made science feel like an adventure she wanted to keep going.

Four mornings, four builds, zero meltdowns. The instructors are calm, patient, and clearly love what they do. We've already signed up for next summer.

He's still racing his solar car around the kitchen floor a month later. Worth every dollar and then some — and the take-home project hooked him on engineering.
